BFRB Living Skills for Navigating the Teen Years!
After introductions and interpersonal goal sharing, Christina will outline the helpful concepts, useful strategies, and self-awareness techniques that have helped many manage their BFRBs more easily. Over the course of 8 weeks, students will learn and practice Mindfulness Meditation, discover what being mindful is – and what it is not, and how mindfulness lays a strong foundation for recovery and enhancing life in general. Most teens find that learning the simple practice of mindfully “checking-in” with themselves, several times each day, is incredibly de-stressing, can reduce unwanted behavior, and be life-changing for the better! The course gives adolescents a chance to meet and share with their peers with the same problem, reduces shame, normalizes experience, and inspires commitment to wellness. Many friendships are formed!
